Both the New and Skilled Rider Course are offered here at Kenai Peninsula Harley-Davidson. We offer a one stop experience where Kenai Peninsula Harley-Davidson provides you with a knowledgeable, experienced and caring staff. At our location we can sign you up, take payment, and provide you with all the class information you will need to be a successful rider. Also by joining one of our classes you will be learning with other riders of similar riding experience that SHARE YOUR ENTHUSIASM FOR Harley-Davidson® motorcycles.
Classes offered
New Rider Training
The New Rider Training is designed for the person with little or no riding experience, as well as returning riders. This course includes 16 hours of instruction, both in the classroom and on the range. You will learn the basic skills needed to ride safely as well as gain your endorsement with successful completion of a written and skills test (optional).

Skilled Rider Training (Rider's Edge®)
The Skilled Rider Training is designed for the person with a minimum of 90 days and 3,000 miles of riding experience. Even if you've been riding for some time, there's always something new to learn. Increasing numbers of seasoned riders are flocking to hone their skills and fine-tune the mental skills needed for survival in traffic. This course includes 6 hours of on range instruction done on your own motorcycle. Make sure you get your insurance discount for taking this class.
Requirements Student must provide:
The following equipment is required for both the New and Skilled Rider courses
- DOT-approved helmet
- Eye protection
- Over-the-ankle footwear
- Full fingered leather gloves
- Long sleeve shirt & long pants
- A parental permission form if under the age of 18 prior to the first riding session
- Prepare for the weather (rain gear, sunglasses, drinks, etc.)
Motorcycle
New Riders will have a choice of a variety of well-maintained motorcycles each carefully chosen to provide the rider with the highest confidence & rider-friendly manners providing you with the best chance for success.
Skilled riders must provide their own Motorcycle (in good working order & street legal), Motorcycle insurance is also required.

The New Rider Training costs $345.00 per person.

Schedule
The New Rider Training is broken down into a three day schedule. You will receive the details for the days and times for your course when you sign up.
A variety of days weekends are offered. 3-Day Schedules are from 8am till 5pm.
Kenai Peninsula Harley-Davidson offers classes beginning May through August depending upon weather and availability.
